To get rid of them, wash your pillows and pillowcases, as well as sheets and blankets, in water that is at least 130 degrees F.  Hot water should do the trick. If you have a serious dust-mite problem in the bedroom, wash bedding at least once a week or more. Get special covers for pillows and mattresses, so mites can’t get access. Mites’ favorite food sources include your dead skin cells, along with your pets’ dead skin cells. So keep your dog and cat out of the bedroom. And vacuum and dust the bedroom frequently.
