Did you know that WHEAT is one of the main ingredients found in soy sauce?
It’s true. It gave me the itchies for years. Now I know why.
In my search for alternatives I’ve found that some tamari soy sauces are wheat free. (tamari is a general name, not a brand name)
Be sure to read labels though. Some tamari soy sauces contain a small amount of wheat; Kikkoman Tamari Soy Sauce being one of them.
I’ll post an update/review after I try some. I always used soy sauce straight on white rice and as a marinade for meats. I’ll be nice to have an alternative.
