One irritation I have in studying a scientific field is this non-acceptance of other realities. Three out of the four professors I've had this past year have commented on the metaphysical realm and how it can't be proven by the scientific method. Two even went so far as to say that they don't believe in God, because there is no conclusive proof...

From my botany textbook: "Astrology, water dowsing, UFOs, psychic phenomena, and medical quackery are all contemporary examples of pseudosciences....when pseudosciences are put to rigorous scientific testing, their predictions prove to be no better than chance...Pseudosciences are widely accepted because the public in general is not good at separating the real from the unreal."

PHOOEY!

I say that certain scientists have lost touch with intuition. They've fully accepted the position that seeing is believing...whereas many of us can also accept that believing is seeing.
