Oh.. you are a Natural Poet Kal :lol That's easy to see :eek

As for books on poetry.. hmmmm I'll tell you a short story about that.

Years ago when my Mother was still in a physical presence I would call her and tell all the details of the latest adventure in my travels. I accumulated a lot of miles visiting exotic and historical destinations around the World. Mom would patiently listen on the phone as I described the details and we would oouu and ahhh together as my words painted vivid pictures. During a lengthy discourse Mom would occasionally interject her most consistent message to me.

"You should write a book, Pat."

And I would reply with one of several 'Pat' answers.. like "Do you think, Mom?" ... or "Maybe I will, Mom." But what I didn't mention was buried deep within my Memory Bank.. a small Voice of Knowing would awaken and say.. 'You will write a book, Pat.'

Major Life changes interrupted my travel conversations with Mom and the idea of writing a book was absurd. But it was just taking a nap. I relocated to Taos, New Mexico... Land of Enchantment. IMHO God created New Mexico as the perfect place to revitalize Body Mind Spirit and Soul. If there is an ounce of artistic endeavor in you.. the awsome beauty will invite it to come out and play.

I began writing. No.. not a book. Just writing.. about Life. The more I wrote.. the more I wanted to write. The stream of THOHTS could not be expressed fast enough and began collecting in a jumbled mess of frustration. And real Life was making big demands on me that had to be satisfied first and writing had to wait.

Then one day.. like waking from a long, deep sleep... I Knew writing's Time had arrived. I had the perfect situation for writing.. privacy, solitude and surrounded by New Mexico inspiration. I would hear Mom's words echoing on the wind
"You should write a book, Pat."

So, I sat down to write that book. And the words came out in bits and pieces... not really making any cohesive sense. I struggled and kept writing bits and pieces. I must be doing something wrong... I would say to my Self. There must be a book that unlocks this Writers Block. So, I went searching for the book that held the key.

There are alot of books out there on 'How to Write'.. hahahaha
and it still boils down to a pen and paper. That's when I found
Natalie Goldberg's book "Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within". It's an excellent book. I will pass on what I learned from it that has made all the difference for me.

Write. That's it :lol Just write.. and write and write some more. The more you write the better it flows.

Kal.. you have Natural talent.. your poem displays that like a Neon sign. Your style is very in sync with the trend today. A real contrast to mine, which is structured with the traditional rhythm and rhyme. I've only written poetry using your style a few Times.

You are reawakening your Poet~Writer within... Write Kal.. just write :lol
